Welcome to Iyengar Yoga in English!
The class will work with strengthening, stretching, balancing and aligning as well as breathing exercises to calm the body and mind. Iyengar Yoga uses props, such as bolsters, bricks, straps and blankets to help students experience the full benefits of asana and pranayama. Through detailed instructions, you will deepen an understanding of the postures and develop an overall awareness of body. You will also be encouraged to work at your own capacity, and deal with injuries or conditions you may be working with. We will start from the basics, so no prior experience needed. If you have some experience already, you are also welcome, as there will be room to go more in depth for those who are ready for it.
I am a native English speaker – and look forward to teaching others who would benefit from learning in English.
Bring with you a mat, a belt, and two blankets.
